The beachfront hotels in Cabo San Lucas are located in three different locations. The beachfront hotels on Playa Medano face the calm waters of the Sea of Cortez and this environment is usually quiet active. The beachfront hotels on the Pacific Ocean side of Cabo are a bit more relaxed and face the large ocean swells. The beachfront hotels along the 20 mile Los Cabos Corridor are generally self-contained, and the ocean waters are usually calm except during high surf.

PLAYA MEDANO HOTELS
Playa Medano is Cabo's main beach and if you want to be close to the action this is the place to stay. Watersports right out in front of these hotels include kayaks, wave runners, para-sailing, bananas, and panga rides to the Arch and Lover's Beach. There are also several restaurants and bars on this beach.
PACIFIC OCEAN HOTELS
The beaches on the Pacific Ocean side of Cabo San Lucas are a bit more relaxed than those on Playa Medano side. The beach is huge and beautiful, but the ocean is not as active as Playa Medano because the large ocean waves can make watersports dangerous. Great sunsets!
LOS CABOS CORRIDOR HOTELS
The 20 miles of beaches from Cabo San Lucas to San Jose del Cabo are spectacular indeed. Most of the resorts along this stretch of coastline are large and self contained, and offer their own watersports. Occassionally large ocean swells make swimming dangerous (usually in summer when the southern storms become active), but most of the time the water is calm and clear.
